Police in Ontario, Canada, have charged a woman with 65 offences. This includes fraud and theft, for allegedly stealing from patients and staff at several healthcare centres in the province. The suspect, Nassim Eronn, 34, from Burlington, a city 56km (34 miles) south of Toronto, is facing charges that span multiple healthcare facilities across the province.

The investigation began in February 2024 and continued until as recently as last month. With incidents reported at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. Headwaters Health Care Centre, Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga Hospital, St Joseph's Health Centre, and West Park Health Care Centre. The suspect worked at these facilities, where she allegedly committed the alleged theft and fraud.

Police identified the suspect's specific duties at the hospitals as unclear. However, it is known that she worked at these facilities across the province. The suspect faces charges including 34 counts of fraud under $5,000 (£3,800).

13 counts of theft under $5,000, and seven counts of disobeying a court order, according to police. Other charges include breach of trust and impersonation.

Following a May report of theft at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, where the woman was employed, an investigation was launched. As the probe expanded, it uncovered similar incidents at multiple other hospitals. This prompted authorities to execute search warrants that yielded substantial property seizures.

With the evidence, investigators suspect additional victims and are now seeking public assistance, having scrutinized the woman's financial records for potential red flags.
