BJP MLA's Son Accused of Road Rage in Goa, CM Orders Probe

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has initiated an investigation into a reported road rage incident. Which allegedly involves the son of a Bharatiya Janata Party MLA in Goa. A senior citizen from Curchorem filed a police complaint on Monday.

Alleging that Rahul Faldessai, the son of Cumbarjua MLA Rajesh Faldessai, and his associates blocked their vehicle, hurled abusive language, and chased them in their SUV before speeding away.

According to the police complaint lodged by Shantaram Kudchadkar at Curchorem police station, the incident occurred on Saturday around 8.15 pm. At that time, the complainant, his daughter-in-law, and grandchildren were traveling to Margao in their SUV. The complainant stated that due to the sudden blocking of their vehicle.

There was a significant traffic congestion lasting between five to 10 minutes. His daughter-in-law began honking to draw attention to the occupants inside the SUV.

Key details of the incident include the blocking of the complainant's vehicle by Rahul Faldessai and his associates. The hurling of abusive language, and the chasing of the complainant and his family members in their SUV.

A senior police officer, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated: We are verifying the contents of the complaint. Upon completion of the inquiry, a decision will be made regarding the filing of an FIR and the issuance of a challan under the Motor Vehicles Act.
