The anticipation surrounding the upcoming epic film Ramayana is reaching a fever pitch with just two months left until its release. The trailer, unveiled on July 30, has generated widespread excitement and offered tantalizing glimpses of the star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Vivek Oberoi, and others.

However, one major cast member's involvement in the project has remained under wraps until now.

According to an exclusive source revealed to SeenTick, Sunny Deol will make a limited appearance in Ramayana Part 1, with his role culminating in the film's conclusion. The plan is to leave audiences on a high note, much like the iconic "Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara?" moment from the first Baahubali film, which sparked immense curiosity and anticipation for its sequel.

The source also revealed that the makers aim to recreate this same effect with the introduction of Lord Hanuman at the end of Part 1. To achieve this, a select group of attendees were given an exclusive preview of Ramayana footage at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas, USA, in April this year.

They witnessed Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, who appeared in a never-before-seen avatar.

"The footage was extremely exciting," said an industry insider, who wished to remain anonymous. "Sunny's appearance as Lord Hanuman is something that audiences should experience on the big screen. The makers have made the right decision in including this pivotal moment."

Ramayana Part 1 is set to hit cinemas on Diwali 2026, with Ramayana Part 2 scheduled for release on Diwali 2027. With its star-studded cast and highly anticipated conclusion, fans are eagerly anticipating the film's arrival.
