In a video message shared on social media, PM Modi congratulated the people of India on the country's 7.8% GDP growth in the April-June quarter of 2026-27, attributing it to their collective resolve and efforts.
Notably, India achieved this milestone despite facing conflicts, wars, global instability, and supply-chain disruptions since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
"We must maintain the pace of our growth," PM Modi said. "We must grow. And to do that, we must become self-reliant."
He emphasized that sustained focus on Swadeshi and self-reliance could help present India's youth with a developed nation
