However, the company's success is not without controversy. As regulatory scrutiny intensifies, many state governments are exploring new rules to govern the use of prediction sites for sports wagers. At least 20 states are currently engaged in litigation against prediction sites over these activities.

The federal government has taken a more defensive stance, with the Trump administration advocating for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as the sole regulator of the industry. The CFTC has already sued at least nine states attempting to regulate prediction markets.

In his remarks, he described the prediction market as already subject to "robust oversight" and characterized it as a tool that is "overseen"
