Samay Raina's latest rant on Instagram has left fans and fellow comedians alike scratching their heads, as he expressed his disappointment with YouTube's new update that counts even a single click as a view.

The comedian's episode of India's Got Latent Season 2 recently broke records, garnering over 53 million views – the most-watched episode of the season on YouTube. However, Samay was perplexed to see his latest episode quickly gain a large number of views without receiving a similar number of likes.

"if you look youtube, views

"If you look at YouTube, the views for my latest episode are more than Karan Aujla's episode, but it hasn't received that many likes," Samay explained in a video shared on Instagram. "So, I thought something was off.

After doing some research, I found out that YouTube has introduced an update that counts even a single click as a view – 30 seconds used to be the threshold for one view."

"100 million views means sh*t now," Samay argued, emphasizing his disappointment with the new update. "This is a terrible update from YouTube. Now, views mean nothing.

It's sad to see how it looks on the feed, but 100 million views don't carry any weight."

"The actual view is when someone sees your content properly – not just a glance," Samay emphasized. "I'm really upset about this update because views now mean nothing. I was thrilled that my latest episode broke all records, but now I'm getting free views.

What does it even mean? My special had 175 million views, and now anyone can put up any video and get 100 million or more."

The latest episode of India's Got Latent featured a diverse lineup including internet sensation Orry, veteran actor Archana Puran Singh, and comedians Nishant Suri and Sharon Verma on the panel. The episode quickly became the most-watched episode of the season, crossing the 53 million-view mark on YouTube.

According to the list Samay shared on Instagram, the second-most-viewed episode of this season is the first episode that featured Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as guests.
