Take-Two Interactive's pursuit of those responsible for recent GTA 6 leaks is gaining momentum, according to newly disclosed court documents.

The publisher has filed a revised DMCA subpoena request with Discord and Microsoft, this time seeking highly specific information related to individual users and community servers. The new filing is significantly more targeted than the initial request, which had cast a wider net in its pursuit of clues.

According to the attachment, Take-Two has identified one additional Discord user and gathered additional identifying information for a previously identified user. The company now seeks more detailed information concerning the community servers mentioned in its prior subpoena.

"This request reveals highly sensitive, confidential information about an ongoing investigation into copyright infringement and the misappropriation of Take-Two's confidential information," reads the new request.

Take-Two warns that public disclosure of this information could compromise its investigation and potentially alert alleged infringers to the nature and progress of their inquiry. In a footnote, the company notes that its investigation is "rapidly evolving" and ongoing, with the new subpoena request seeking different information than the initial one.

Discord's marketing director, Ryan Rigney, stated in August that the company had not yet been served with a subpoena from Take-Two. The court has yet to make a decision on Take-Two's request for a sealed subpoena, and no new developments have emerged.

The speed and specificity of Take-Two's investigation suggest that it is narrowing its focus on individuals potentially involved in the leaks. This development raises questions about the scope of the investigation and the company's efforts to track down those responsible.
