Virender Sehwag Introduces Audience Power in Rise & Fall Season 2

Renowned for its unapologetic portrayal of ambition and self-interest, India's most-watched reality show Rise &amp. Fall is poised to launch its next installment with a revamped format. Former cricketer Virender Sehwag has taken over as host from Ashneer Grover.

Meanwhile, the latest promotional teaser hints at an unprecedented twist: audience members will now hold sway in determining which contestant assumes the coveted title of Ruler and which begins as a humble Worker.

Indian reality TV's premier event, Rise & Fall, is poised for an unprecedented twist. Virender Sehwag, a key figure behind the show, has announced that audience members will now have control over the fate of contestants through an auction-style voting process.

For the first time in the history of Indian reality television, viewers can shape the narrative by assigning values to their favorite contestants on MX Player's dedicated platform.

A total of 15 contestants will be joining the show. This includes Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Karan Patel, Swara Bhasker, Shehzad Poonawalla, Kajal Raghwani, Tej Pratap Yadav, Sara Gurpal, Gautam Gulati, and content creators such as Anish Bhagat, Raj Grover, Niharika Tiwari, Siwet Tomar, and Kaira. The show is set to premiere on MX Player on September 26.

The voting window is open from September 20 to 23. With contestants assigned values of ₹4 lakh, ₹3.5 lakh, or ₹75,000 based on audience preferences. This new format marks a significant departure from previous seasons.

There, the premiere episode saw contestants decide among themselves who would get the golden briefcase and become the Ruler.

Last year's season saw contestants sent to the Basement to live as Workers and fight their way back up. Meanwhile, this time around, the audience's decisions will determine which contestants start as Rulers and which ones begin as Workers. The consequences of these decisions will be significant, with Rulers enjoying luxuries in a penthouse apartment and fewer responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Workers are deprived of many comforts, including even access to a bed.

The show's producers have stated that this new format aims to increase audience engagement and participation. This allows viewers to take an active role in shaping the narrative.
