Bollywood Film Accused of Stealing Master Recording

Musician Sargam Vaish has accused a popular Bollywood film. The Vvaan: Force Of The Forrest, of using his master recording of 'Aigiri Nandini' without permission in its trailer. Balaji Motion Pictures legal team met with Vaish within 24 hours of the issue being raised on social media and acquired the sync rights to the song.

According to Sargam Vaish, he was surprised to hear his version of 'Aigiri Nandini' in the trailer, which he claims was originally created for a Ram Gopal Varma film. This is the version I had created for Ram Gopal Varma's film. I own the master rights.

No one had approached me for an NOC or permission, he said.

On September 20, Vaish took to Instagram to express his concerns over a recording of 'Aigiri Nandini' allegedly used in the trailer for an upcoming film without his permission. Just 24 hours later, representatives from Balaji Motion Pictures met with the musician to discuss the matter.

Speaking about the meeting, Vaish said he was not approached for permission and that the executives and lawyers from Ektaa R Kapoor’s production house were cooperative. He expressed gratitude for the fact that they were able to resolve the issue so smoothly.

The film, starring Sidharth Malhotra in the lead and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, is scheduled to release on September 25. The Vvaan: Force Of The Forrest has been at the center of an ongoing investigation into the leak of Vaish's recording. This was somehow transmitted to the film team.

Despite the efforts of the team leader to uncover the source of the leak, the identity of the person responsible remains a mystery. However, with Balaji Motion Pictures acquiring the sync rights for 'Aigiri Nandini', the matter appears to have been resolved. Vaish's master recording is now protected by a formal agreement.

It is worth noting that Vaish had previously created the song 'Aigiri Nandini' for Ram Gopal Varma's film. And he claims ownership of the master rights. The incident highlights the importance of obtaining permission and adhering to copyright laws in the music industry.

The Vvaan: Force Of The Forrest is set to release on September 25. And Balaji Motion Pictures has taken steps to ensure that Sargam Vaish's rights are respected. The film's trailer features a rendition of 'Aigiri Nandini', which was created by Vaish for Ram Gopal Varma's film.
