Bollywood Actor Saurav Gurjar Arrested Over Allegations of Misleading a Woman with Marriage Promises

Indian actor Saurav Gurjar was taken into custody at Mumbai airport on September 17 after a Look Out Circular was issued against him. This comes after allegations of deceiving a woman in the US.

Gurjar's detention comes amid claims that he had promised to build a life together with the woman. However, instead failed to follow through on his commitments. The woman alleged that Gurjar had initially revealed that he was married at the time of their relationship.

According to Inspector K Saidulu, immigration authorities intercepted Gurjar at Mumbai airport after he arrived from a trip to the Middle East. A case has been registered under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which covers sexual intercourse through deceitful means.

Gurjar's career in acting and professional wrestling is being scrutinized as part of the investigation. He first gained recognition as Bhima in the TV series Mahabharat in 2013 and later appeared in other TV shows and films. This includes Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman and Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.

Before pursuing a career in acting, Gurjar was involved in professional wrestling, joining WWE in 2018. He performed as Sanga before being released by the organization in 2024. His Bollywood debut came with the release of Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.

As part of the investigation, authorities are examining Gurjar's past relationships and allegations against him. The woman who accused Gurjar of deceiving her into leaving her job in the US has also come forward with her complaint.
