Allu Arjun and Atlee Set Guinness Record for Most People Motion-Captured in Real-Time

Indian superstar Allu Arjun and director Atlee have made history by setting a Guinness World Record for the "Most People Motion-Captured in Real-Time" with 37 performers simultaneously. The record was achieved for the upcoming pan-India film Raaka, which marks Arjun's first collaboration with Tamil hitmaker Atlee.

The official site of the Guinness World Record states that the most people motion-captured in real-time is 37 and was achieved by Sun TV Network Limited and V. Arunkumar (alias) Atlee (both India) for the movie 'RAAKA' starring Allu Arjun in Mumbai, India on September 15, 2026.

A few days ago, Cibi Chakaravarthi spoke about Atlee's upcoming film Raaka with Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone. He shared, “I have seen the visuals of his films; he showed them to me. Sir, I don’t think even Avatar has visuals like that.

Everyone will see what I’m talking about in three days. The visuals were extraordinary.”.

Lyricist Vivek also claimed to have only seen films like Raaka in Hollywood at the event. Atlee revealed that Raaka isn't just a film but a part of him he's carried for years. Shaped by 18 years of holding onto one idea.

Raaka is directed by Atlee and produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. The film stars Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.

Raaka continues to make waves even a year before its release. The pan-India film is expected to be released in 2027, with promotional materials hinting at it being a creature film.
