Karan Johar to Adapt Rameshwar Nath Kao's Life into Big Screen Biopic

Karan Johar is set to make a biopic on Rameshwar Nath Kao. The founder of India's external intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing. The announcement was made on Monday, and it was revealed that the film is based on R.N.

Kao: Gentleman Spymaster, a book by Nitin A. Gokhale, and is scheduled for a 2028 release.

Operation Sindoor Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and produced jointly by Bhushan Kumar and Vivek. Operation Sindoor is based on Lt Gen K J S ‘Tiny’ Dhillon’s book Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India’s Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan. It was announced earlier this year in March, and is currently in the production process.

Ben Rekhi brings Aravind Adiga's bestselling novel to life with Last Man in Tower, a poignant tale of resistance and community. Manoj Bajpayee stars as Masterji, a stalwart schoolteacher who resists the temptation of a lucrative redevelopment offer, sparking tension with his neighbors.

Sooni Taraporevala penned the screenplay, while Boman Irani and Divya Dutta join Bajpayee in a cast that explores the complexities of small-town life.

Hanuman Ansh, a biographical drama centered around revered spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba, has found success on the Indian box office. Writer-director Vishal Chaturvedi's film tells the story of Lakshminarayan's transformation from a young seeker to a revered saint.

With Shobinaw Satyaa delivering a nuanced portrayal of the saint. The film's modest budget of ₹2 crores has yielded impressive returns, with the movie raking in over ₹200 crores in ticket sales.

Ramayana Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is a two part live-action adaptation based on the Ramayana by Valmiki. Ranbir Kapoor plays Rama, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, Yash plays Ravana, Sunny Deol plays Hanuman and Ravi Dubey plays Lakshman. The first part is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on November 6, 2026.
