Frasers Property has strengthened its presence along Orchard Road with the acquisition of Cuppage Terrace, a prized asset that now joins The Centrepoint shopping complex under the group's ownership.

The S$392 million plot purchase six months ago was just the beginning, as Frasers Property is now in a better position to enhance the asset and create long-term value through a more coordinated approach.

"This acquisition is a significant milestone for us, reinforcing our commitment to shaping a more connected and vibrant precinct," said Soon Su Lin, CEO of Fraspers Property Singapore. "With the strengthening of ownership of The Centrepoint, we can unlock synergies across adjacent sites and better position our properties to contribute to the ongoing transformation of Orchard Road."

Cuppage Terrace boasts 17 conserved Peranakan-style shophouses that have been transformed into bars and restaurants, adding a unique charm to the area.

As one of several prized holdings of Frasers Property, with a combined net worth of $3.2 billion, they are among the wealthiest families in Singapore.
