Shivam Shankar, a 25-year-old filmmaker and writer, has achieved success with his short film 'Bhed Bakri Bhoot', which examining the dark and witty world of a public washroom. The film, now streaming on YouTube, had a successful festival run, garnering awards such as Best Short Film at IIFSA Toronto and Best Indian Short Film at Yellow Stone.
Shankar's journey to creating the film began with a single Instagram message to Anurag Kashyap. His childhood idol, which led to him joining the filmmaker's team.
Feeling low, Shankar penned a lengthy message on Instagram, and Kashyap kindly offered to mentor him, suggesting he join him in Mumbai, as Shankar recalled.
