Final Fantasy 7 Remake Director Naoki Hamaguchi Doubts Future Games Can Match Trilogy's Scale

Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series, has expressed skepticism about the possibility of future games matching the scale of the trilogy. Speaking to Final Weapon, Hamaguchi stated, "Not only is Final Fantasy 7 huge and the scale of the Remake Series is just enormous, but in a way, I don't think a game will ever compare in terms of scale across three titles ever again."

Hamaguchi's comments come as the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series nears its conclusion with the release of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation. The series has been a massive undertaking, with three major titles released within a seven-year span.

While the decision to split the classic JRPG across three titles has been contentious, Hamaguchi believes it was necessary to maintain consistency and quality.
