Speaking to Indianexpress.com, Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of NFR, said that this milestone marks 100 per cent railway electrification in Assam.
The zonal railway completed a vital part of the electrification work on the Lumding-Badarpur Hill section in June. This project has been ongoing for some time, with the aim of improving sectional capacity and reducing operating and maintenance costs.
