Renowned Indian actor Nana Patekar succumbed to a fatal cardiac arrest in the Indian state of Goa. Leaving the film fraternity in a state of shock. The veteran actor, who was 77, was rushed to Manipal Hospital.
There, a team of medical professionals attempted to restore his vital functions for nearly 45 minutes before ultimately succumbing to his injuries. Dr Shekhar Salkar, head of the oncology department at Manipal Hospital, confirmed the passing of the veteran actor to the news agency ANI.
Equating Nana, a close friend and collaborator, expressed her condolences to the family of the late actor. Nanya, the world's biggest artist, will be deeply missed, she said. Satish Kaushik, another close friend of Nana, also paid tribute to the late actor, sharing a touching Instagram post that has been widely shared across social media platforms.

Renowned artist Satish has been followed by another close friend, Nanya, leaving the artist's inner circle. Nanya's departure has been swift and unexpected, leaving the artist reeling. The artist's most significant loss, however, is the departure of Satish, a relationship that has endured for years.
The artist's current relationship with Nanya, which began shortly after Satish's departure, has been marked by a similar sense of suddenness and finality.
Bidding an emotional farewell to his friend. Kapoor shared that he would miss Nana in his life, on film sets, and on the big screen. noting that bohot miss karunga tujhe, life mein, set par, phone par aur bade parde par, the actor concluded.
Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor were longtime friends and collaborators. Having first worked together in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 1989 film Parinda, which earned Nana his first National Award. The two actors went on to collaborate in many films.
