Tanushree Dutta, the actress who accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment in 2018, has expressed her disappointment and frustration with the media's reaction to his death. In a video posted on Instagram, Dutta said she faced attacks on her life and was followed by goons after she accused Patekar of misbehaving with her during the shooting of the 2008 movie "Horn Ok Pleassss".

Actress Dutta, behind hits like Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Chocolate, and Dhol, has been fielding queries from some fans urging her to pardon Patekar. However, she's adamant the actor never extended an apology. It's a sentiment she's echoed in her own experiences, suggesting that forgiveness typically requires an initial acknowledgment of wrongdoing.

In her view, Patekar's actions have caused irreparable harm to an individual, and any forgiveness would necessitate a formal acknowledgment of the harm inflicted.

Detractors are questioning the notion that a single death can erase the past misdeeds of a notorious individual. Dutta's concerns highlight the need to consider the cumulative impact of their actions on countless victims. Whose suffering may not be easily expunged.

The social media commentator has also taken aim at "influential" YouTubers and online personalities who seek to amplify their content for personal gain, warning that their fleeting online presence would be unsustainable even in the face of intense scrutiny, which she has personally endured since 2018, including multiple threats to her life.

In October 2018, Dutta repeated her allegations against Patekar, which kickstarted the #MeToo movement in India. An FIR was registered against Patekar, who consistently denied the allegations. The case was later closed due to insufficient evidence.

Dutta's comments come after Patekar'It was death on Thursday after suffering a heart attack in Goa. The actress's reaction to his death has sparked a debate on social media, with some people asking her to "forgive" Patekar, while others have expressed their support for her.
