Delhi Police has enforced a massive security dragnet across the capital ahead of a planned protest on Saturday, October 10.
The Cockroach Janta Party called the agitation at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Organisers allege major irregularities took place during the Special Intensive Revision. Police denied permission for the gathering under Section 163 of the BNSS.
Authorities planned sweeping travel curbs across road and rail networks. Officials proposed a 10-hour train suspension at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations.
Affected routes included the Sealdah Rajdhani Express from West Bengal. The Supreme Court stepped in and asked authorities not to halt rail services completely.

Delhi Metro planned to shut gates at 57 stations "until the situation normalises". The Solicitor, General told. judges that train frequency would be reduced rather than suspended.
Officials directed ride-hailing services like Ola and Uber to "regulate movement to central Delhi". Mobile internet services were blocked within a four-kilometre radius of Janpath and Kartavya Path.
The Home Ministry deployed 221 Central Armed Police Forces companies to assist local police. That force provides roughly 23,000 personnel between October 8 and October 12.
Five of these units consist entirely of women personnel. Police established a 37-point dragnet across the New Delhi district.
All shops and dining venues around Connaught Place were ordered to remain shut. City liquor stores were closed until Sunday under public order rules from the Excise department.
Police created temporary detention centres across all 15 districts. Verified locations include Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Bawana and Chhatrasal Stadium.
Hotels in Paharganj were ordered "not to take in new visitors who appear to be arriving for the protest". Protesters criticised the strict lockdown measures and described the dragnet as house arrest. Police maintained that no formal house arrest orders were issued.
Reporters at barricades were told to carry and prominently display valid press cards. Police warned that people livestreaming could face action if they block official operations.
Security agencies changed their strategy after an earlier demonstration in June. That protest had forced then-Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to step down over exam corruption.
Officers now plan to stop demonstrators within their own local districts. Delivery platforms including Zomato, Blinkit, and Zepto will also face police monitoring. Anyone refusing to disperse will be taken straight to district detention facilities.
