Actor Sai Durgha Tej has responded to accusations that he ignored the man who saved his life after a 2021 motorcycle accident. The actor, who was hospitalised for 35 days, shared a long note on social media, thanking fans and loved ones for their support.

SDT's note, posted on Thursday, referred to the anniversary of his accident as his 'rebirth day'. He wrote that he was given a second chance at life. Carried through by the prayers, love, and unconditional support of his family, friends, and fans.

SDT was riding a single-seat motorcycle near the Durgam Cheruvu Bridge in Hyderabad when he lost control of the vehicle. He was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, where doctors confirmed that he had sustained a collar bone fracture and soft tissue injuries. He remained hospitalised for 35 days.

After shooting for Virupaksha and Bro, the actor announced a break to focus on his health. He will soon star in SYG - Sambarala Yeti Gattu.
