Nana Patekar, the veteran actor who passed away on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest, had spoken publicly just days before his death about life, mortality, and his purpose. The 75-year-old actor, known for his intense and unpredictable performances, had attended the Samraat Club International installation ceremony in Dona Paula on October 4.
There, he addressed the gathering and spoke about former Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar, whom he remembered as a close friend.
Goa's current Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, has a personal connection to the state's former leader, Manohar Parrikar, who served as Chief Minister from 2017 to 2021. Sawant's father had a close friendship with Parrikar, who was known for his charismatic presence and stature, despite being younger than Sawant.
The younger Sawant has expressed admiration for Parrikar's unwavering dedication to his work. Citing his ability to inspire others with his passion and determination. Parrikar's life was marked by a sense of purpose.

“We all have to go someday. I don't know whether I will be here tomorrow or not. Every person's life will eventually reach that point.
But before that happens, I have to ask myself: am I able to do what I want to do?” he said.
The actor was part of Housefull 5, which featured Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh. He also appeared as a police officers officer in Vishal Bhardwaj's O' Romeo. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, and had a cameo in Subedar alongside Anil Kapoor and Radhika Madan.
