Indian Railways has cancelled all trains arriving at and departing from New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations for 10 hours on Saturday. October 10, amid a protest by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in the national capital.
The decision was taken to minimise inconvenience to passengers amid the protest.
The Ministry of, Railways said.: "Intelligence inputs and traffic advisory indicate severe road congestion around New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station area on 10th Oct, 2026 between 04:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs due to planned protest/demonstration by Opposition parties in Central Delhi."

Two Rajdhani Express trains, the 12301 Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express and the 12313 Sealdah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, were scheduled to begin their journeys on October 9 but have been cancelled.
The Cockroach Janata Party has called a protest at Jantar Mantar. Demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Delhi Police have activated a 37-point dragnet across the national capital to prevent Saturday’s Jantar Mantar demonstration against alleged voter roll irregularities. The police have also denied permission for the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, citing rule violations and BNSS Section 163 prohibitory orders.

According to the Supreme Court, "We are mainly concerned about the complete closure of metro station entries; we have serious concerns about this,".
