"Skills are now organized into a skill tree and each skill has three ranks," reads the notes. "Unlocking new skills now requires having the necessary prerequisite skills rather than spending a set number of skill points." This change will reset existing skill points if importing a save file, so players must be cautious when transferring their progress.
Incomplete questlines now have their own marker on the world map, allowing players to choose what they want to pursue more easily. This change significantly enhances the overall gameplay experience, making it simpler for players to navigate the vast open world.
Meditation will now display a neat time-lapse instead of simply putting the player into a menu. This small but significant change improves immersion, particularly in longer gaming sessions.
Bard's Ballad mode has been added to reduce cognitive load for players who experience mental fatigue or difficulty concentrating. This mode streamlines gameplay by simplifying certain mechanics and disabling select features, creating a smoother and more focused adventure.
