Marvel Rivals developer NetEase is taking extra care to prevent any leaks about Avengers Doomsday as it plans a crossover with the MCU film. 2026 has been a big year for the Marvel Rivals team as the developers have been celebrating the four Avengers MCU themes with new cosmetics and modes throughout the year on the Path to Doomsday.
This kicked off in April with an Avengers themed event that had a 6v1 asymmetrical mode in which you team up against a single Loki. Meanwhile, this week marks the Infinity War event which will introduce a 2v2 mode in which two teams of 6 players can battle with the Infinity Stones in round robin bouts.
Then later this month a PVE mode based on Endgame will drop. In which 50 players have a scrap with Thanos and his army.

Speaking to FRVR, Marvel Rivals game director Guangyun Chen assured "We are doing everything we can to prevent any leaks for this important event."
Unfortunately, this is somewhat undercut by supposed leaks for Marvel Rivals season 11 which pegs Nightcrawler and Dr Doom – both of which are set to play a big role in Doomsday – as the new characters set to be added next season. Not to mention Season 10's Gorr the God Butcher was leaked ahead of time too.
Marvel Rivals hasn't managed to beat Overwatch's stats yet, but Disney boasts it's still "attracted 40 million players worldwide."
