Arc Raiders and The Finals Get TV and Film Adaptations as Chernin Entertainment and Nexon Collaborate

Chernin Entertainment and Nexon have announced a collaboration to adapt hit shooters Arc Raiders and The Finals into TV and film adaptations. With Embark Studios set to work closely with the production company to ensure the creativity of the properties extends into all-new formats.

Set against the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic 2180. Arc Raiders drops players into a world ravaged by the enigmatic ARC robot uprising. Which had brought human civilization to its knees in 2025. Decades later, the game's protagonists, known as raiders, venture onto the surface to scavenge for vital resources, fueling the game's core loop.

Meanwhile, The Finals, launched in 2023, transports players to a dystopian 2100. There, they must navigate a treacherous virtual reality combat game show to eke out a fragile existence.

"Throughout the process, the creative teams at Embark Studios will work closely with Chernin to ensure the creativity that defines both of these properties extends into all-new formats."

Neither adaptation has a release date, but the collaboration marks a major investment in two extremely popular shooters from Embark.
