Indian action star Vidyut Jammwal believes big budgets alone cannot help Bollywood match Hollywood. Speaking to Hindustan Times, the actor explained that creative excellence requires more than just heavy spending. He noted that American studios rely on deep discipline, strict planning, and distinct operational standards.

The 45-year-old actor makes his international debut in the upcoming movie adaptation of Street Fighter. He portrays the classic character Dhalsim in the live-action video game project. The project marks a major milestone after his 15 years in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu cinema.

He originally began his film career playing villains before establishing himself as a leading action hero.

Several Indian filmmakers have recently backed massive productions to bridge the visual gap with Western releases. Jammwal pushed back against the belief that rising expenses automatically ensure superior quality. "If a person suddenly gets a lot of money, it doesn’t mean they will suddenly learn manners, too." he said.

He clarified that his remarks were not an attack on the domestic film trade. noting that i am not talking just about our industry, but about people in general, too Jammwal explained. "Money is not everything.

There is a certain mindset change that needs to be brought," he added.

Jammwal emphasized that the quality of stunt choreography in Indian cinema has climbed sharply in recent years. "Things have changed. We are doing excellent," Jammwal told the publication.

The standard of action is very high here now the actor stated.

He noted that domestic productions now hire top-tier stunt choreographers from across the globe. We get the best action directors in our films now, he shared. noting that i get the opportunity to work with everybody who is big in India, also he continued.

According to Jammwal, the primary operational difference lies in strict regulatory systems and insurance rules. The only difference there is the legal system the actor pointed out. "The laws are very strict, the insurance companies are very fastidious about what the actor can do," he said.

The new Street Fighter film represents the third live-action feature based on the Capcom video game franchise. Director Kitao Sakurai leads the production, which brings together an expansive international cast.

The ensemble features Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang, and wrestling icon Roman Reigns.

It also includes David Dastmalchian, Cody Rhodes, Eric André, Andrew Schulz, 50 Cent, and Jason Momoa. Street Fighter is scheduled to release in theatres on October 16.
