“Earlier it was the crown. They’re all about beauty,” she says, highlighting an industry bias. “We are not given due credits for that. So, I just promised myself that I’ll break that notion.” Her ultimate artistic goal within the film industry is refreshingly straightforward and grounded in substance: “I just want to tell stories, good stories, through a meaty, substantial character in the film.”
