Mahima Nambiar Shoots for Mandaadi Six Days After Surgery

Indian film Mandaadi, helmed by Mathimaran and starring Soori and Mahima Nambiar, has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing ₹100 crore in global box office sales, according to Sacnilk. Released on September 10, the film faced stiff competition from PS Mithran's Sardar 2.

A celebratory event for the film's success revealed that Mahima had been involved in an accident just days before commencing filming.

“I saw in a couple of interviews where you mentioned crying after performing. Thank you so much for the effort you put into the movie,” Mathimaran said, quoting Mahima's emotional response to her role. He also mentioned that she had a major accident five days before shooting for the song Usure Needhan Pulla.

Which left her face injured with over 20 stitches.

Accident Details

Mathimaran reveals that Mahima was severely injured in a five-day-old accident, requiring over 20 stitches to repair her face. The incident, which took place before her recent music shoot for Usure Needhan Pulla, a track from the upcoming film Mandaadi, has left her with lasting physical consequences.

Post-Operation Return to Set

Despite the accident, Mahima returned to the set on the sixth day after her plastic surgery. Mathimaran praised her dedication and hard work, stating that her immense effort was behind the film's success.

Box Office Performance

Mandaadi has grossed ₹111.80 crore worldwide and ₹81.90 crore net in India, according to Sacnilk. The film has beaten the lifetime collection of Arun Matheswaran’s Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi’s DC, which collected ₹106.90 crore.
