Ninja Theory is set to navigate an uncertain future after two separate agreements to close the studio fell through. The company will now engage in discussions with employees regarding a proposed closure, while exploratory talks over a potential buyout continue. This development raises concerns about the long-term viability of other prominent Xbox studios, including the Cambridge-based developer.

Asha Sharma, Xbox's chief executive, revealed in July that the company is undertaking its most substantial reorganization in history, with 1,600 positions eliminated in the initial phase, as part of a broader plan to incur 3,600 losses. The restructuring process is now three-quarters complete.
Microsoft's foray into the gaming console market in 2001 marked a key role for Halo. This has since become synonymous with the Xbox brand.
As the industry grapples with escalating computing costs and hardware expenses, the franchise's enduring popularity poses a significant challenge for the company.

Xbox has announced a significant restructuring of Activision's operations. With the gaming giant taking on additional responsibilities for the World's Edge studio. Which oversees the Age of Empires franchise, as well as Rare and its popular Sea of Thieves series, in a move that will also see the studio's management expanded to oversee Halo game development.
