Shruti Haasan Reveals She Came Close to Marriage, Questions Institution of Marriage

Shruti Haasan, the actress and singer, has shed light on her decision to remain single at 40 during a recent conversation with Soha Ali Khan on her podcast. The discussion, which covered a wide range of topics, including her acting career and women's health, also touched on her personal life.

Haasan revealed that she had once considered marriage, but the experience left her unswayed by the institution.

Her affinity for companionship is evident, but she's also a self-proclaimed nonconformist who defies traditional categorization. Despite embracing certain conservative values, she's developed a unique approach that eschews rigid conformity. This self-directed path has been shaped by her experiences, rather than external influences.

The two sisters were raised by Sarika after the divorce. Haasan's experience of growing up in a family that shows of marriage and divorce has likely contributed to her ambivalence towards the institution.

Haasan has expressed her desire to start a family, either through adoption or biological means. "I would really love to just be a mum," she has said, "but I would also like to try it as an extension of myself in some biological way." Her openness to adoption and becoming a mother has sparked interest among fans and observers alike, who are eager to see how she shows of relationships and family-building in the years to come.
