For Shriya Pilgaonkar, Guilty Minds is a role that refuses to be forgotten. The character of Kashaf Quaze still holds a special place in her heart, and it's easy to hear the lingering fondness in her voice when discussing the series.

Looking back at Guilty Minds, Shriya recalls how well the character was written, making it a rare opportunity for her as an actor. During promotions for her upcoming film Haiwaan, she shared her emotional connection to the show with Hindustan Times in an exclusive interview.

"I'm so emotional about that show because the character of Kashaf was beautifully crafted," Shriya said, highlighting how rare such a role is. "I'm usually strong and composed, but Guilty Minds broke my heart when Season 2 wasn't commissioned. It's hard to let go of something you care deeply about."

Shriya admits that it wasn't easy for her to detach from the project, but she understands that not everything is within her control. She emphasizes the importance of learning to move forward and being spiritually understanding.

"Actors often get attached to a project, but we have to be willing to let go," Shriya said. "I'm proud of what we accomplished with Guilty Minds, and my girls still love it."

The series premiered in 2022 and followed the complex bond between Kashaf Quaze and Deepak Rana, two law school friends whose careers constantly put them on opposite sides of the courtroom.

As Shriya gears up for her packed September schedule, she's excited to return to the big screen with multiple theatrical releases. Despite years in the industry, she still feels a sense of nervous excitement when her films finally reach theaters.

"I'm just wanting to soak in every moment because it's something I don't take for granted," Shriya said, highlighting how much she values this experience. "I have these theatrical releases after a long time, and I'm feeling the buzz again."

Shriya is set to release two films in September: Mirzapur The Movie on September 4, and Haiwaan on September 11. She hopes that one successful film can create a positive chain reaction for the others.

"I'm seated and all here for September 4 for Mirzapur, and the 11th for Haiwaan," Shriya said, expressing her enthusiasm for these upcoming releases. "I believe there's a domino effect when one film does well – it encourages people to watch more films in theaters."
