Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment is making a splash in the entertainment industry, having recently sealed a deal with Universal Music India (UMI) earlier this year. The production house has been busy assembling an impressive slate of projects for the coming years, covering various genres and scales, and featuring big-name stars like Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol.

The project, which will be produced under her Kathha Pictures banner, marks Kanika's third foray into production after last year's Kajol and Kriti Sanon-led mystery thriller Do Patti and the upcoming Taapsee Pannu starrer Gandhari.

Up next, she has penned and is producing Gandhari, an action-packed thriller starring Taapsee Pannu as a fierce mother on a mission.

Meanwhile, Excel Entertainment has several projects in various stages of production. The slate includes Lalkaara, an Aamir Khan starrer sports drama directed D. Burman biopic and Abhishek Chaubey's next Prime Video series.
