Apple Warns 110 Countries of Suspected Spyware Attacks on Devices
Apple has issued a warning to customers in 110 countries that their devices have been targeted with powerful spyware, according to digital rights groups and cybersecurity experts.
The company sent out a new wave of notifications over the weekend, alerting users to potential threats and advising them to reach out for help if they suspect their device has been compromised.
Experts say that this is one of the largest batches of alerts Apple has ever issued, with some digital rights groups reporting a record high number of people reaching out for assistance.

Mohammed Al-Maskati, director of the Access Now team of investigators, told TechCrunch that since Friday, they have received a significant increase in calls from people who had already received threat notifications in the past.
Al-Maskati attributed the surge to Apple's new methods of alerting users, which include notifications on the iPhone lock screen, in the Settings app, via email, and when logging into the Apple Account on the web.
