Ayushmann Khurrana's Yeh Prem Mol Liya to Connect with 'Bharat', Not Just India

Ayushmann Khurrana has described his new film, Yeh Prem Mol Liya, as a story that will connect with "Bharat", not just India. The actor made this statement at the launch of the film's title track in Mumbai on Sunday.

Ayushmann Khanna and co-star Sharvari were among the A-list guests at the Royal Opera House. There, composer Himesh Reshammiya took to the stage alongside a 25-piece orchestra for an exclusive live performance of his new song. The evening also provided a sneak peek into Rajshri Films' nostalgic musical revival in its latest film.

Ayushmann recalled the first time he heard Sooraj narrate the film, saying that even the title initially made him curious. However, after hearing the title track, he was convinced that it couldn't be a better title.

The remarkable thing is that Himesh understands emotions and the masses, Ayushmann said. "Hardly any other contemporary composer understands the Indian public as well as he does."

Ayushmann's co-star, Sharvari, also spoke about her experience working with Himesh Reshamiya. She said that his music has been part of her life since childhood and that the lyrics helped her understand her character better.

The film, produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 27, 2026. It marks another collaboration between Barjatya and Himesh Reshamiya, who previously worked together on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

At the heart of this cinematic exploration lies a nuanced portrayal of love's evolution. From an initial bond forged through shared experiences to a profound emotional connection that challenges traditional notions of romance and familial ties.

Production on the upcoming film is nearing completion. With Himesh Patel confirming that it will feature six original tracks – a number he's been lobbying Barjatya to increase to seven. Citing Patel's persistent efforts to secure an additional song for the soundtrack.
