Siam Reports 36.5% Rise in Passenger-Vehicle Dispatches During Festive Season

Dealers across India received more cars and scooters than ever before during the festive season. With passenger-vehicle dispatches rising 36.5% year-on-year to 4,39,309 units. According to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (Siam) on Tuesday.

The increase comes against a weak August 2025, when manufacturers sent 3,21,901 vehicles to dealers. "Growth in Aug 2026 has been supported by a lower base of previous year," Siam director general Rajesh Menon said, expecting festive demand to lift dispatches further this quarter.
