Saif Ali Khan Visits Soldiers in Kashmir Amid Global Tensions
On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, Saif Ali Khan visited Uri in Jammu and Kashmir as part of NDTV’s Jai Jawan programme. He spent time with soldiers and shared a meal with them.
During his visit, the actor spoke about his children, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan, who have started asking questions about wars around the world and their safety.
“My children ask me about the many wars that are going on in the world right now. They feel scared too,” Saif said. “They ask, ‘Who is looking after us? What will happen next? Will the situation get worse?’ I tell them, ‘The Army is protecting us.’ They are also saluting you. We are all very proud,’” he added.

Saif also spoke about Kashmir, describing it as one of the most beautiful areas in the country and a bit sensitive due to its restricted tourism. He expressed his wish for people from across the country to visit the area more freely and comfortably.
The actor’s comments come after the Pahalgam terror attack in April 2025, which killed 26 civilians and led to a deterioration in India-Pakistan relations. The ongoing conflicts around the world are also affecting global energy supplies, particularly due to the US-Israel war with Iran, which began in February 2026.
