Apple Delists Beloved Mobile Game Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls
Even the most dedicated fans of vampire-slaying adventures can't escape the impact of industry headwinds. Konami has announced that its popular mobile game, Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, will be delisted from Apple Arcade in just a few days.
The news comes as a surprise to many, given the game's continued support since its launch on Apple Arcade in September 2021. However, Konami has decided to terminate the service on September 3, 2026.
Players have only three days left to download and play the game before it disappears from the platform forever. The mobile installment is essentially a live-service take on Symphony of the Night, with progression systems and co-op elements that make it well-rounded for a mobile release.

The game was originally released on Android and other platforms before becoming an Apple Arcade exclusive in 2021. Now, five years later, it's being closed due to unspecified reasons. Konami has expressed its gratitude to players for their support throughout the years.
While the delisting of Grimoire of Souls is a shame, fans of the Castlevania series have something to look forward to – a new game titled Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, set to release in October. The developer has stated that the female protagonist was a natural fit for the role because it was best suited for a woman.
Despite the loss of Grimoire of Souls, fans can still enjoy the game until September 3, 2026. However, once the servers are turned off, the game will be completely unplayable, leaving many to wonder why it wasn't preserved in some form.
