British Prime Minister Andy Burnham Messaged White House Chief Of Staff Impersonator

Multiple reports have emerged of an impersonator posing as White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, with the latest incident involving a message exchange with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham.

According to sources, Burnham received several messages from someone claiming to be Wiles, which he later deemed insignificant but became suspicious when it wasn't actually her voice on the other end.

The exact nature of the conversation and when it took place remain unclear.

A White House official has denied any connection between the incident and a hacking of Chief of Staff devices, while Downing Street declined to comment further.

Last year, an impersonator using AI-generated voices of Wiles reached out to prominent figures including Republican lawmakers, business executives, and other high-powered individuals via text messages and phone calls.

The motive behind the impersonation was unclear, but in some cases, the individual requested money or asked for sensitive information, such as a list of people President Donald Trump could pardon.

Separately, hackers linked to Iran were found to have stolen emails from Wiles and other figures in Trump's orbit, including Stormy Daniels and Roger Stone, just before the 2024 election. Some of these emails were distributed to journalists and news outlets.

It is not clear if the recent incident with Burnham is connected to last year's impersonation attempts or the hacking incident involving Iran.
