Marvel Studios Unveils Cast for X-Men Reboot at D23 Event

Exciting news for X-Men fans: the cast of the upcoming reboot has finally been revealed. The announcement was made at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, which kicked off on August 14 in Anaheim, California.

Meet the New Team

At the event, director Jake Schreier joined star Sadie Sink, who will be playing Jean Grey in Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Together, they revealed the rest of the cast, including Kit Connor as Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, and Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier.

Samara Weaving will play Emma Frost, while Inde Navarrette will bring Rogue to life. Maya Boyd rounds out the cast as Storm. All the actors joined Sadie on stage for a special reveal.

Adam Driver made a surprise appearance via video call, announcing that he'll be playing Nathaniel Milbury, aka Mister Sinister. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that more X-Men casting news is still to come.

Robert Downey Jr. took the stage as Doctor Doom, while Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell joined him as Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter. The makers also unveiled a special look for the film, giving fans a glimpse into the backstory of the villainous Doctor Doom.

The X-Men reboot follows beloved heroes from three different universes as they face an existential threat unlike anything they've encountered before. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film promises to be an exciting new chapter in the X-Men franchise.

But that's not all - the D23 fan event also brought updates on other Marvel projects, including Star Wars, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and a live-action Tangled adaptation. Disney fans can look forward to more exciting announcements in the coming months.
