Marvels Doctor Doom Unveils Iconic Line in New Avengers: Doomsday Trailer

Marvel has dropped a surprise for its fans with a new special look at its upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday. The video gives us a glimpse into the backstory of Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.

The 2-minute special look opens with Victor von Doom sitting on his throne as Sue Storm's voice informs us that he was always 'the smartest person in the room' and how he got lost after his loved ones were taken from him. We see a montage of a world laid to waste, followed by Reed confronting Doom about whether he did this.

The video then kicks into high gear as Thor takes on Doom, promising he will 'beg for hell'. But Doom nonchalantly blocks the God of Thunder, flicking him away easily. He delivers a line that is sure to become iconic: “Hell answers to me, for I am Doom.”

In Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and face Doom, an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered. The film is MCU’s first Avengerssince Endgame in 2019.

Avengers Doomsday will be released on December 18, the same day as the third instalment of Warner Bros.’ sci-fi series Dune, setting up a box-office battle dubbed Dunesday.
