Saif Ali Khan collaborates with director Priyadarshan on upcoming film Haiwaan.
Renowned filmmaker Priydarshan has opened up about his experience working with Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in the upcoming film Haiwaan.
Confidence and Collaboration
Priydarshan described Saif as a 'greedy but obedient' actor, highlighting how their collaboration was built on mutual respect and trust.
'He has a lot of questions every time,' Priyadarshan said, 'and of course, every actor has the right to question. The moment it is answered, he just obeys you.' This approach helped build confidence between them, with Saif becoming more committed to his role as a visually impaired man in the film.
Priydarshan also shared that Saif is a voracious reader and has an impressive knowledge of the world around him. 'He's too committed,' Priydarshan added, highlighting Saif's dedication to his craft.
The film marks Akshay Kumar's reunion with Saif after 18 years, and Priydarshan revealed that Haiwaan is a remake of the Malayalam film Oppam, although several changes have been made to the dialogues and screenplay. With Mohanlal set to make a cameo appearance, fans are eagerly awaiting the film's release on September 11, 2026.
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films, Haiwaan promises to be an engaging watch with its ensemble cast, including Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher, and Shriya Pilgaonkar.
As the film's release approaches, fans are excited to see Saif Ali Khan take on a new role. With Priydarshan at the helm, Haiwaan is shaping up to be a thrilling experience.
