Disney has unveiled a first-look at Frozen 3, which promises to bring a fresh twist to the beloved franchise.

The latest installment in the hit series is set to release on November 24, 2027, and it looks like things are about to get interesting.

At the D23 fan event, Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell walked onto the stage hand-in-hand before launching into a rendition of 'Frozen Heart.' The stars confirmed that Anna and Kristoff will be getting married in the story, but their special day has been crashed by a new villain.

The footage showed Anna and Kristoff's wedding seemingly being disrupted by the arrival of this new character, who declared, 'The sisters of Arendelle, we finally meet.'

Frozen 3 is the third installment in the Frozen franchise, which has already proven to be a box office smash with its previous two films earning over $1.45 billion each.

The film's release was originally slated for 2026 but was pushed back to 2027, with Josh Gad explaining that the team wants to ensure the movie is 'absolutely worthy of the story we set out to make in 2013.'

Former Disney CEO Bob Iger previously announced that a Frozen 4 was also in development, although no release date has been confirmed.
