Kejriwal Announces 6 Guarantees for Goa if AAP Wins Assembly Elections

Arvind Kejriwal, convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has outlined six guarantees for the people of Goa if his party wins the upcoming Assembly elections. The guarantees include free bus travel for all women.
Monthly financial assistance of Rs 3,000 to every woman above 18. And the scrapping of a contentious provision of the Goa Town and Country Planning Act within a month.
Speaking at a party event in Panaji, Kejriwal expressed his party's stance on the politics of the BJP and the Congress. He stated that the people of Goa are dissatisfied with the current political landscape and are looking towards the AAP as a viable alternative.

The provision allows for changes to land parcel zoning and modifications to regional plans and outline development plans at the direction of the government.
Kejriwal emphasized the importance of a honest government. This highlights that there is often a shortage of intent rather than a lack of funds. He also promised to waive off past electricity tariff arrears for domestic consumers within a week and provide 300 units of electricity for free, 24/7.
Kejriwal cited the AAP's successful implementation of similar guarantees in Delhi and Punjab as evidence of the party's ability to deliver on its promises. He urged voters to consider the AAP's six guarantees, stating that they will be fulfilled if the party comes to power.
Kejriwal also promised to provide health insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh for every family and a sports ground in every village. If the AAP wins the elections.

The AAP secured two seats in the 2022 Assembly polls. Meanwhile, the BJP emerged as the single-largest party, winning 20 of the state's 40 seats, and the Congress returned with 11. The GFP contested the 2022 Assembly polls in alliance with the Congress and won one seat.
Kejriwal, who has a background in income tax, emphasized his commitment to delivering on the AAP's promises, citing his experience in Delhi and Punjab as evidence of the party'It's success.
Context: The AAP is scheduled to hold the Goa Assembly elections early next year. And Kejriwal's promises have been gaining traction with voters.
