In addition to London and Paris, Nesmith also suggested the Scottish Highlands and Ireland as possibilities. This highlights the potential for a post-nuclear Glasgow or a city with a strong American influence. The Scottish Highlands, with their rugged landscapes and rich cultural heritage, could provide a unique and captivating setting for a Fallout game.

Meanwhile, Ireland's lively cities and stunning natural beauty could offer a fresh take on the Fallout formula.

While some may view taking the franchise outside of North America as a risk, Nesmith believes that it could be a welcome shot in the arm. It can go to any city that has a really distinctive style to it, he notes. "You look at the places they've already taken Fallout and it's Las Vegas.

It would be very tempting to go outside of the country too. Even though Fallout is highly rooted in Americana." Nesmith's comments offer a glimpse into the creative possibilities for Fallout 5, and the potential for the series to expand beyond its traditional American roots.

The idea of taking Fallout 5 outside of the US is not without its challenges, however. The game's developers would need to navigate complex cultural and historical contexts. This ensures that the game's story and setting are respectful and authentic.

Nevertheless, Nesmith's enthusiasm for the idea is infectious, and it's clear that he believes that Fallout 5 could be a major shift for the series.
