As student protests simmer, Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary hopes new portal will fix ‘every complaint’, and fast

Bihari students are now able to register their complaints and suggestions through a new portal launched

The 'Student Assistance (Vidyarthi Sahyog) Camp' will be organised every month, with the first one happening on the fourth Tuesday of this month. The portal aims to address every problem faced

According to CM Choudhary, if action is not taken on complaints within 10 days, a notice will be issued automatically, and resolution will be ensured within 30 days.

The initiative follows protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and across the state, with Bihar police recently withdrawing 64 FIRs filed against students during the July 25 statewide protests over alleged NEET-UG paper leaks.

CM Choudhary had announced the project during his Independence Day speech, highlighting the expansion of educational opportunities for students in Bihar. The portal creates a unified platform for students to log academic and hostel-related complaints online, allowing them to monitor the status of their grievances in real time.

The government official said that the portal aims to eliminate fragmented complaint processes, reducing administrative red tape and improving ground-level compliance. With the state's focus on youth empowerment, the initiative aligns with PM Narendra Modi's Independence Day speech, which emphasised on youth empowerment.
