Banks observe both national and state-specific holidays, which can result in varying branch closures across the country. For instance, while some branches in West Bengal will be closed on October 10 to mark Mahalaya Amavasya, branches in other states will remain operational.

In addition to these holidays, banks will be closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of October, as per Reserve Bank of India guidelines. Customers who need to conduct large cash transactions. Cheque processing, or other services that require a physical branch visit are advised to plan their work around these closures.

On October 19, banks in certain states. This includes Tripura, Mizoram, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand, will be closed due to Dussehra celebrations. However, services that require a physical visit to a branch, such as cheque processing and large cash transactions, will not be available on bank holidays.
