Facing protests as per the updated roster for Jaipur bench, the Acting CJ will not be holding any sitting from September 1 to September 5. The decision comes after lawyer associations escalated their protest on Monday, prompting the acting CJ to alter the roster.
As per the fresh roster on Monday, a Division Bench of Justice Inderjeet Singh and Justice Sandeep Taneja has been tasked with all the matters which were previously with the DB of acting CJ and Justice Sangeeta Sharma, excluding the arbitration matters.

Earlier, the Acting CJ had received several complaints, which "raise doubts" on his "integrity", according to a letter sent In his letters, Justice Mehta accused Justice Sangeeta Sharma of "misuse of powers" and also sought transfer of the acting CJ to another High Court and the appointment of a new Chief Justice.
The situation took a turn for the worse when arbitration matters were listed in the Acting CJ's name on Friday from 2 pm to 4.30 pm, but he altered the roster after lawyer associations escalated their protest on Monday. The fresh roster sees a Division Bench of Justice Inderjeet Singh and Justice Sandeep Taneja taking over all the matters previously assigned to the acting CJ and Justice Sangeeta Sharma, with the exception of arbitration matters.
