Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday in the Central Asian city of Bishkek, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit. The two leaders discussed recent developments in the West Asia conflict and shared perspectives on the evolving situation.
The war in West Asia broke out in February this year, when the US and Israel attacked Iran. A fragile ceasefire has been in place since then, but it has been violated several times in the last few months.
