Following the incident, Northern Railway (NR) took immediate safety measures and arranged road transport to ensure that more than 400 passengers could continue their journey. According to Vipin Paudwal, a senior official with NR, the railway authorities arranged road transport to evacuate the passengers and provide them with food, water, and accommodation at Kalka station.
