Indian politician and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat recently spoke at Madison Square Garden in New York about India's place in the world. He stated that Bharat attained the status of a glorious country, not a superpower.

Bharat: A Glorious Country or a Superpower?

According to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, the concept of a superpower is often misunderstood. 'Whenever it became big, it never became a superpower,' he said. 'It became a glorious country… one might call it a superpower then.

But it served the world.'

Bhagwat explained that India's rise should mean a shift towards service and acceptance, rather than dominance and control.
